About
Artist Amplifier

Welcome to Artist Amplifier, a booking and management agency for music artists and top athletes. We focus on both emerging and established talent, helping artists both in Belgium and abroad. Founded in 2017 and located in Hasselt, Belgium, Artist Amplifier has become well-known for bookings of almost all major live acts within the Dutch-language hip-hop world. This includes names such as Boef, Lijpe, Lil Kleine, Jonna Fraser, Jack Shirak and Henkie T. In addition to hip-hop, Artist Amplifier has also built a strong position in the electronic music scene with artists such as VE/RA, Pegassi and Sem Thomasson.

The founders of Artist Amplifier are Joost Frederickx and Thomas Sempels. Both have been artists themselves, with Thomas still active as a DJ and producer under the name Sem Thomasson. Joost has spent almost 20 years spinning hip-hop and urban beats as DJ  Frederico, but left his career behind in 2021 to focus on Artist Amplifier. The guys wanted to create a platform that supports artists in all areas of their careers, including bookings, management, publishing, record labels, production and recording studios, event productions, and even a music academy where young talent can be discovered and nurtured early on.

Since 2019, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois invested in the company. He primarily focusses on the new sports division of Artist Amplifier, which will help and guide young athletes in their careers. Sports will range from football to MMA.

One of the biggest urban events in Belgium is organized by Artist Amplifier. Lemonade is a monthly recurring concept that takes place in club Versuz in Hasselt. It distinguishes itself from other urban concepts by creating an experience where urban live acts are unnecessary. On the other hand, Urban Festival is entirely focused on urban live acts. The biggest Dutch-language hip-hop artists are welcomed on various stages per edition, many of whom fall within the Artist Amplifier roster. In addition to the urban events, Artist Amplifier also organizes label nights for Hot Fuss and Liminal, as well as the company’s own TURNT.

The Wanted Music Group is the music division of the company, managing labels; Wanted Music, Hot Fuss, Liminal, Motiv Records and AFTR Trax. With a focus on urban (Wanted Music) and tech-house (Hot Fuss), the music group has established a strong position within the music industry.

Tomorrowland Academy (formerly Amplify Academy) is the music school of Artist Amplifier. Since 2022, we have partnered with Tomorrowland to strengthen the academy’s position on a global level. The academy organizes camps, lessons, and workshops both online and offline for beginners and more advanced talent. With guest speakers such as Afrojack, Kölsch, Lost Frequencies and many more… The academy strives to inform participants in a unique way about the profession of being an artist. The academy also provides unique opportunities for participants to show themselves to industry professionals.

Artist Amplifier is a young and ambitious company with many plans for the future, always keeping the artists and athletes at centre. By organizing everything in-house, Artist Amplifier is minimally dependent on third parties and has the right resources to truly strengthen careers.
