DOPEBWOY
Dopebwoy, born Jordan Jacott, is a multi-talented artist from Almere who has grown into one of the most influential names in the Dutch music scene. With a deep-rooted passion for music, inspired by his father who worked as a DJ, his journey began at a very young age. This early exposure to rhythms and melodies laid the foundation for his success as a producer, singer, and performer.
From the age of five, Jordan was already experimenting with instruments under the guidance of his uncle, a respected drummer. His love for music continued to develop during his time at the ROC College, where he briefly studied music production. However, it was ultimately his natural talent and drive that set him apart, giving him the confidence to pursue his ambitions and carve out his own path in the industry.
Dopebwoy first made his mark behind the scenes as a producer, working with artists such as Yes-R, Jayh and F1rstman. In 2016, he stepped into the spotlight with his debut single Selecta. A year later, he released the EP Nieuw Goud, which quickly gained millions of streams. His real breakthrough came with the hit Cartier, a track that became a national phenomenon and achieved global success on Spotify.
From 2018 onwards, Dopebwoy continued to deliver hit after hit. Tracks like Meteoriet with Antoon, Loco with Yung Felix, and My Money with $hirak, Bizzey and Bokoesam achieved platinum status, solidifying his reputation as a hitmaker. In 2019, he released the album Forever Lit, featuring major names like Boef, MHD and Frenna. The album remained in the Dutch charts for weeks, while tracks such as Walou Crisis and Guap also reached platinum success.
With projects like Hoogseizoen and TURBULENTIE amassing millions of streams, Dopebwoy expanded his reach far beyond the Netherlands. His music resonated with audiences across France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, turning him into an international force. After a short break in 2023, he returned in 2024 stronger than ever, highlighted by a sold-out show at Paradiso in Amsterdam. This triumphant return marked the beginning of a new chapter, driven by renewed energy and continued musical innovation.
